So you're adopting?

Mackenzie and I have been discussing adoption for a while now and have felt God telling us it's time to take the plunge.

We have partnered with a great Christian agency called Lifeline that has helped us decide on the China program where there are lots of children waiting for adoption that have special needs. For a long time we thought, we'll wait till we have the money or the right job situation, (insert reasonably rationalized excuse here), etc. , but we realized one that was never going to happen and more importantly that God is BIGGER than our plans and normally makes miracles happens in humblest of conditions.
Here's what we know: from the world's view this is crazy and financially irresponsible, but we also know God likes to make crazy possible. We also have quickly realized this is not just about us getting a child but this is about a plethora of people and circumstances coming together through God's divine providence to make a miracle happen.
When Jesus fed the 5000 with fish and bread it wasn't a situation where one person shared half their fish sandwich because they had one extra person to feed. When God does a miracle he does BIG! He made an example of the fact that if people will just step forward with the best they can give for the situation at hand no matter how enormous and insurmountable that situation is, He can make that miracle happen!
As is the same with this adoption. We know we need God's help to make this happen and God will use people for that. We may know you or we may not have met you yet and we can only ask for help. Even it's a small amount, God will bless that! Even if it's a prayer or encouraging word, God will bless that! If we know you already, all we can say is thank you! If we don't know you, we look forward to meeting you, hello, and thank you! Together we can bring this miracle child home!
